Greg Bartosiewicz

Greg Bartosiewicz attended the State University of New York at Buffalo earning a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (Medical Technology).
The programs in the include wide ranging biochemistry, physiology, microbiology/parasitology, immunology, blood banking, analytical chemistry, laboratory instrumental analysis, and statistics.
Work rotations after graduation included Routine Chemistry, Esoteric Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, STAT Chemistry, & STAT Hematology.
Unfortunately, a nurses’ strike forced the closure of that hospital lab. To support himself using his advanced skills it was necessary to take two part-time jobs at two different hospitals. After a while the rigors of constant traveling, doing both jobs well and keeping up with two physically demanding schedules catalyzed a career change.
When a sales opportunity presented itself that perfectly fit his already broad knowledge and experience in high-end, cutting-edge laboratory equipment: it opened a gateway to the future.
Greg became quite successful at this work and remained in a wide range of sales for high-end cutting edge medical and laboratory research equipment for decades. These tended to be workflow based research systems where the solutions that researchers were funded for, needed and invested in, including hardware and workflow solutions, software and consumables that he was able to supply. These strategies enabled advancement from simple sales, to working in the consulting and application of protein and DNA research, chromatography, mass spectrometry and the opportunity to assist with laboratory automation processes on a broad range of related equipment including these: video densitometers, laboratory robotics, matrix assistant laser desorption mass spectrometers, liquid-chromatography mass spectrometers (triple quadripole, time of flight). The broad range of these applications included proteomics, metabolomics, polymer characterization, toxicology/forensics, drug discovery, pharmacokinetics, and environmental analysis.
After some decades ‘on-the-road’, a desire to get local with family, brought him to run a toxicology lab to support drug rehabilitation (with drug screening and confirmatory analysis: infra-red linked antibody analysis and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry).
This career sequence allowed Greg to be present and witness groundbreaking research in genetics, epigenetics, proteomics, and metabolomics. The ability to recognize that nothing stands alone, led an interest to the study of primary genetic coding and other related disciplines. Which in turn led to the realization that subsets of the human genetic code set were being utilized by the body, along with resultant proteins and small molecule products were actually participating during in how the body reacted during utilization. These interests led to additionally understanding of how primary genetic defects, while they do indeed cause many common health issues, health issues quite often occur well beyond and even occasionally in spite of genetic precursors, both negative and positive. Revelations like these stimulated Greg’s belief that a complete range of behaviors including diet, stress (acute or chronic), active vs. sedentary lifestyles and more, often can and just as often do over time, clearly have an almost overwhelming impact upon our personal health, both positively and more importantly negatively.
Acupuncture, once ignored as pseudo-science by the medical establishment, has finally seen a dramatic acceptance by modern medical professionals and yes, at last by many in the medical establishment itself. Acupuncture has an extraordinarily long history, thousands of years, during which it has shown great success while treating not only the human body, but a wide variety of animals as well. Odd as it may sound, all mammals including horses, cats and dogs respond well, with even anecdotal evidence that reptiles also respond as well. Modern scientific examination has revealed that acupuncture has in fact delivered both a rich and diverse modality.
Dr. Greg, having always felt drawn towards Eastern Medical techniques, explored every opportunity to study a variety of these practices in depth. Inspired by his own health challenges with persistent migraine-like headaches that were finally overcome through acupuncture. Greg became a licensed acupuncturist in 2002 after graduating from the Tristate College of Acupuncture.    This distinguished school and its director, Dr. Mark Seem, spear-headed incorporation of Travell & Simons trigger point release acupuncture discipline. This added another treatment method to his tool chest of skills which is in constant use to facilitate every client’s physical body balance and overall health. This particular practice addresses the body through the alleviation and correction of pain by first recognizing the stress or pain related body patterns which remain with the body after that stress or pain affects it. Application of this discipline include use of manual acupressure/massage, needles, tuning forks, moxibustion, silver & gold pellets, cupping, gua-sha, electromagnets and static magnets.
Stress manifests itself in many ways within the body and can often be successfully treated by recognizing the various patterns the body naturally manifests after exposure to a wide variety of stressors. These inevitably imprint various artefacts within the body over time (viscerosomatic reflections that arise and present themselves from the organs to the musculature sharing a nerve loop*). Acupuncture is a potent modality used to alleviate those patterns and after treatment return the body to a more balanced state, especially with used in conjunction with Chinese herbal and homeopathic formulas.
At Dr. Greg’s business, Absolute Wellness Spa, depending upon the issues presented by clients, a wide variety of structural, biochemical, and energetic levers that acupuncture delivers to his patients/clients are employed. Using the appropriate point strategies and levels of intensity for each client, other strategies may be employed such as acupoint injection therapy, otherwise known as Bio-puncture (employing sterile vitamins and homeopathic solutions).
Dr. Greg conceived and co-invented (with his business partner Dennis Marcantonio), the world-exclusive device and applications of Magnapuncture®.   It is the intervention of MagnaPuncture® (MP), that allows an enhanced balancing of the sympathetic (excitatory) and parasympathetic (relaxation) nervous system.    As related by clients, MagnaPuncture® catalyzes quicker, longer-lasting benefits to acupuncture treatments.    MP®’s combination of paired polarity with frequency-controlled electromagnetics, light-wave and acoustic vibration (sound), resonate with the total sphere of the body-mind’s energies to address such things as stress and other issues by relaxing and refreshing the body as a whole.
